Dr Angelika Love
Business psychologist, leadership advisor and executive coach
In brief
My work is informed by my academic background in group dynamics and almost 10 years of leadership advisory experience. I have conducted 100+ executive assessments across industries, markets and cultures, both as an organisational psychologist within a global leadership advisory firm and in my own independent practice. I also bring 100+ hours of executive coaching experience, with leaders navigating transition, complexity and pressure, as well as with senior leadership teams.
Background
I hold a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Oxford, where my research focused on relationship networks and group dynamics. That lens still shapes how I work today: I pay attention to what is happening in the room, what is not being said, and what the wider context is quietly rewarding.
In 2021, I joined Russell Reynolds Associates in the firm’s global Leadership Assessment & Development practice, working as a leadership psychologist out of Brussels and Frankfurt. The firm’s top-of-the-house approach allowed me to support senior leadership teams and individual leaders through major transitions and high-stakes talent-related decisions. In conjunction with my academic background, those years gave me a strong methodological foundation and a sharper sense of how to partner with clients at C-suite level.
In 2024, I founded my independent leadership advisory practice. I combine executive assessment, coaching and advisory work with research and teaching engagements on team- and talent-related topics. I apply the same high interpersonal and methodological standards that shaped my early career and now have more time to focus on a select number of clients. My practice is intentionally small and can therefore be exceptionally personal. I keep room for generosity and depth in the projects I take on, and time for staying close to the cutting edge of the quickly evolving world of work.
What I work on, and with whom
Most of my work sits in the space between individual leadership and the wider system around it.
Typical themes include:
- succession and selection decisions where the cost of a wrong call is high
- stepping into a bigger role and needing to gain traction fast
- senior leadership team changes, mergers and leadership reconfigurations
- leadership practices and culture under pressure in a fast-changing world of work
I have worked with leaders and teams in listed global corporates, PE-backed SMEs, venture and growth environments, professional services, public-sector leadership contexts, and elite military units. Most of my clients are based in Europe, though some are also US-based. I work in English and German, and also have conversational French and Norwegian.
A lot of my work is quiet and discreet; therefore, you won’t find client logos or names listed here.

Why I do this work
I am propelled by the belief that society is, in many ways, shaped at work. It’s where we spend a considerable share of our waking hours and where many of our social interactions take place. Leaders have a disproportionate impact on the climate – the norms and values – that shape these interactions, and on the ripple effects this has through our relationship networks beyond work. They also shape the wider economy, and so countless lives and livelihoods. I became a leadership advisor and coach because I want to be in this arena and support those who shoulder such responsibility.
